And now, let me tell you a good news, that is today we are going to visit a famous tourist attraction which you have been expecting for a long time. That is The Native Place of the Yellow Emperor---the place where he was born,started his career and founded his capital. Today,we will take you to Xinzheng, the birthplace of Huangdi for a closer look.
　　Xinzheng City lies in the center of Henan Province in central China. It is a satellite city of Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. Huangdi made Xinzheng his capital and initiated the fabulous Chinese culture.
　　Dating back our civilized history to 5000 years ago, we are known as the descendents of Yanhuang. Both Yandi and Huangdi were tribal chiefs in their time. With their combined forces, they defeated Chiyou, another tribal leader and Huangdi united China after 52 battles. All Chinese, despite nationalities, regard Huangdi as our ancestor. Huangdi, the initiator of Chinese civilization, was hence worshipped by his descendents.
　　Every year on March 3 of the lunar calendar, the day when the first emperor in China established the first nation in Chinese history, people of Chinese origin from home and abroad gather in Xinzheng, the birthplace of Xuanyuan Huangdi, or the Yellow Emperor, to offer sacrifices and worship this legendary ancestor of the Chinese nation. Legend holds that the emperor united different tribes on March 3 and held a ceremony with an impressive display of power and influence.
　　To respect this great Emperor, his descendants have held large ceremonies of worship since the epoch of Spring and Autumn (770-446 BC). In 1992, the Henan provincial government authorized Xinzheng city to begin to hold the Yanhuang Cultural Festival, which has been attracting descendents of Yanhuang from America, Japan, Korea, Canada and other nations and areas each year. They come back to worship, seeking their roots here in China. Grand ceremonies and various activities are arranged to memorialize this great emperor. The children are singing a eulogy for him:

　　 Xinzheng city is located in the center of Henan province and it is subordinate to Zhengzhou. Xinzheng is the key city of Henan’s opening-up policy and the trial city of “speeding up the process of urbanization”. It is also the state level sanitation city and the outstanding tourist city as well as the advanced city of social security. The total area of this city (including the towns around it) is 873 square kilometers and the population is 0.63 million. It has 9 towns and 3 street administration offices as well as an airport administration committee. The total area of the urban district is 20 square kilometers and the total population is 0.18 million.

Among those great talents are: the famous prime minister of the Spring and Autumn period—Zichan, the famous thinker of the Ancient War Period—HanFei, the strategist of Han Dynasty—ZhangLiang, the well-known poet of Tang Dynasty—BaiJuyi, the originator of architecture of Song Dynasty—LiJie, the famous astronomer of Yuan Dynasty—XuHeng and the famous prime minister of Ming Dynasty—GaoGong. Those famous people in history left a reputation which will go down to posterity. The relics of PeiLigang culture, the hometown of Yellow Emperor, the clay warriors and horses of East Zhou Dynasty, the Ancient City of ZhengHan spread all over the city. Every year, there are numerous descendants of Yellow Emperor from home and abroad coming here to pay homage to their ancestors.
